Rationale

I chose to focus my wiki on World War 2. I chose this specific topic because this is a fifth grade social studies standard and the standard is so broad that there will not be a way to cover every part of World War 2 in detail. I thought that an online wiki of different lesson ideas and graphic organizers will assist me when teaching this standard one day to students, because most of my research will be found on here. The books that I chose are grade level appropriate and all of the students will be able to read them. The books that I chose will give the students a different perspective on World War 2 and will explain what was happening in other parts of the world during this time besides just the United States.
